Yoga Classes

YOGA STUDIOYogaJourneywTagline

As part of our mind-body-spirit approach, we offer yoga classes. We
encourage all levels and welcome you to give our classes a try.

Through my years as a therapist, I have continued looking for ways to help clients be more independent in their healing.  I have found yoga to be a great source of self-healing to coordinate with Psychotherapy services.  The practice of yoga can quickly quiet an anxious mind or boost a depressed mood.  Clients can do this on their own anywhere, decreasing their need for crisis appointments.

Meet the Instructors:

Lisa Sedlak

500 Hour Trained Yoga Instructor as of November 2021, Lisa began teaching in gym settings and found them to be noisy and distracting. Lisa's technique is teaching to feel for the right posture, tweaking with verbal and hands-on adjustments,  slowing down, and listening to your body.  Lisa's greatest pleasure in teaching yoga is to see the look on students' faces when the pose is right for their bodies.  Looking forward to helping you find that pose and feeling it throughout your body.

Leta Treibold

Leta is a professional ballet dancer and dance instructor.  She began taking yoga classes as a supplement to ballet and has since found it to be a new passion.  Leta received her yoga teacher training from Teri Leigh and is excited to help others discover their own connection with yoga.

Libby Higgins

I have lived in Amery since 2001.  My husband and I have 2 young daughters and a baby boy!

My first yoga practice was in 1999.  I have explored a variety of styles of yoga, including my own personal practice, spanning 6 pregnancies, weight gain & loss, personal life tragedy, injuries, depression… You name it, I’ve practiced through it, finding always that at the end of my practice I felt renewed, rejuvenated and proud.

In April of 2010, I took my first certification course through YogaFit and have been instructing ever since.  Some of my greatest joys come as I help students gain new levels of confidence and strength.  I teach a vinyasa-style yoga, which incorporates movement with the breath and has more of a fitness approach to traditional yoga.  I incorporate strength-building poses and always offer a challenge pose.  And while I am quite often instructing, I always strive to be a student.  Constantly learning, growing and challenging myself so that I can pass along what I am learning to those I practice with.

As I have expanded my influence to include health & nutrition coaching, I have found that the mind-body-emotion connection is undeniable. I coach people one-on-one and in group settings to reach for their own personal health goals and to establish healthy, life-long habits.
