LISA JW SEDLAK, MS LMFT
Lisa Sedlak has been practicing family therapy since 1999 and has grown and developed along with her clients. Specialized trainings include Emotional Focused Couple Therapy (EFT) which helps clients communicate more vulnerable and healing relationship emotional injuries and increase attachment and intimacy, Alcohol and Drug Abuse and its effects on families, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing to assist people in letting go of effects of past traumas, SOZO- a Christian approach to trauma, Mozi Method - A mind-body approach to taking life head-on, ….
Lisa is a sex positive therapist, who supports clients in living their life authentically. Themes around this may include working with clients who identify as LGBTQ, clients exploring their sexuality, opening up life and relationships to include non-monogamy, polyamory and kink, or living in the "lifestyle" in a manner that is respectful to themselves and their relationship(s).
Additional services available include using yoga to heal. Yoga became a passion when it healed my mind, body and spirit, assisting me in avoiding back surgery for chronic pain. For me, yoga went deeper than healing physical pain and transformed life when I practiced. It gave me the strength to face tough things and come out on top with an amazing support system. I want to offer that to my clients and the community abroad.
Lisa recognized, some clients don't need traditional therapy, but want information, support and exploration around personal growth and development. A new life coaching program has been designed for those individuals which offers self paced programming and live one-on-one calls.
